Help us develop the pupils by volunteering with us, it’s a perfect opportunity for you! As a volunteer, you will be able to develop and train pupils from our school about the importance of knowing how to read and right to influence others follow this route. You will help the school to provide several academic and non-academic facilities and services. Your knowledge and ideas will help to ensure the healthy physical and mental development of the children. Any volunteers who want to participate in this program are welcome.
Support our school projects
The severe training of pupils , without proper direction to think and act for themselves as their capacity and turn of mind will allow, that by this means they may lack growth of thought, feelings of self-respect and confidence in their own ability to perform.
Therefore St James Primary School Mpoma also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to pupils including;
Goat farming
Rearing goats is a profitable sector for our school. Generally it means rearing goats for the purpose of harvesting fiber and manure to our school garden.
At present, goat farming has become a profitable school project because of its multi-functional utility. They are multi-functional animal with a wide variety of products and at times used as gifts to excelling pupils.
Vegetable growing
A daily school meal can mean not only better nutrition and health and also increased access to brilliant achievement in education. We grow cabbages, carrots, onions, lettuce, tomatoes and others crops at the school to supplement on our meals.
Banana plantation
We also have a banana plantation were bananas are harvested to feed the pupils at school ,this helps to reduce on the feeding cost as applied to the feeding programmes and also increase on the diet. The trick behind is to equip young people with food security skills.
Confectioneries
We also feel proud of producing all this at our school such as Cakes, breads, cookies, scorns, pan cakes, g-nuts, hard corns among others, not only does this subsidizes on the breakfast accompaniment but also equips young stars with skills of food preservation which in future may turn to be an income generating activity for any of them.
